• In Partnership Services
  In Partnership is an arrangement between GAC Logistics and our clients whereby all or at least a major part of their shipping operations are outsourced to GAC. While there is no upper or lower limit to the proportion of an organisation’s shipping function that we can take on, In Partnership is of particular interest to small and medium sized companies, where responsibility for importing and exporting falls within the remit of other job functions. Typically, the total In Partnership service provided in addition to moving the freight will include:

  • Generating all relevant daily documentation on what is perceived to be the client’s own letterhead or bespoke forms

  • Production of Certificates of origin, shipping notes, instructions, dispatch advices, Intrastate entries, pre-alerts, Letters of Credit, Dangerous Goods Notes, EUR1s and other IATA forms

  • Completion of Customs and consular documentation

  • Communication of shipment details to our client’s customers together with an electronic copy of the commercial invoice

  • Provision of daily status reports on all live GAC Logistics shipments and booking, monitoring and provision of status reports on shipments routed through third party forwarders

  • All progress chasing, problem solving and crisis management

  • Liaison with nominated agents

  GAC Logistics (UK) Ltd’s purpose-built 3PL logistics facility at East Midlands Airport in Castle Donington, Derbyshire, has enabled GAC Logistics to offer enhanced 3PL (third party logistics), warehousing and distribution services. The opening of the facility in March 2008 represented the first step in GAC Logistics UK’s strategy to leverage its global expertise to provide specialised services for the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), pharmaceutical and textile industries – among others.
  
  Strategically located next to the airport at the East Midlands Distribution Centre (EMDC), a 140 acre rail connected national distribution complex. It is also centrally placed within the UK’s road network with easy access to the M1 and M6 motorways and other major routes. The site has its own X-ray facilities which speed up the transport process by eliminating the need for extended close-out periods at the airlines’ delivery points.
