Jordan

Overview

Jordan has one of the freest and most competitive economies in the Middle East, with more Free Trade Agreements with other nations (including the USA, European Union, Canada, Singapore, Libya, Algeria and Syria) than any other Arab country. A small country with limited natural resources, the country depends on external sources for most of its energy requirements. Exports of light manufactured products, principally textiles and garments are manufactured in Jordan's Qualifying Industrial Zones. Such goods enter the USA tariff and quota free, helping to drive economic growth.
