Trade is vital to the Cypriot economy as it imports fuels, most raw materials, heavy equipment, transportation equipment and even water (to help ease a shortage in recent years). In May 2004, Cyprus became a full member of the European Union, reflected by the fact that more than 50% of its trade is with the EU. Thanks to its strategic position in the Eastern Mediterranean, the island serves as a crossroads between Europe and Asia, and 20% of its trade is with Middle Eastern countries. Cyprus has the fourth-largest ship registry in the world.

GAC Cyprus is specialised in bulk liquid, liquefied gas and dry bulk cargo transfers between all types of vessels. In addition we offer provision of Mooring Masters for floating Storage Units for alongside or tandem berthing SBM berthing. Other services include condition surveys, vetting inspections, superintendence and related marine work.
