Bahrain has the fastest growing economy in the Arab World (according to the U.N. Economic & Social Commission for Western Asia in January 2006). It also has one of the freest economies in the region. Petroleum production and processing revenues – representing about 60% of export receipts - have fuelled an industrial and consumer boom for the country.
GAC Bahrain is one of the largest shipping and forwarding agencies in the country. Having been involved in major infrastructural projects since our establishment in 1957, we have unrivalled experience, expertise and contacts in the country.
Our Logistics Centre in Muharraq is the first of its kind in Bahrain, offering multi-modal options – road, sea, and air – under one roof. We also operate a container freight station/bonded warehouse within Mina Salman dry cargo port.

Warehousing and Distribution
Warehousing & distribution are an integral part of GAC Bahrain's supply chain services. Our state-of-the-art facility houses a bonded warehouse equipped with laser controlled automatic sprinkler system and insulation. It has racked, containerised and temperature controlled areas for different types of cargo, as well as a large handling area and office accommodation.
GAC handles its own LCL shipments from the facility in a combined CFS/Consolidation Centre. With customs on site 24/7, we are able to provide prompt cargo clearance as well as bonded facilities for combined air/sea/road operation.
The Centre's operations are complemented by additional 13,000m2 multi-purpose warehouse capacity at three different strategic locations, including the Askar facility which facilitates local distribution, has a modern racking system and containerised personal effects storage. GAC can offer Principals at ASRY Dry Dock better services for dedicated freight of urgent spare parts, bond to bond. Thanks to its strategic location, the storage facility is ideal for holding spares for future calls at ASRY. | |
